October is national breast cancer awareness month.  Most of us know someone that has been affected by breast cancer.  Personally, Sarah and I's great grandmother was affected by breast cancer along with many of our friends.  So in honor of all of those whom are or have fought this battle we are going pink for October.  We will be offering several breast cancer awareness bows and flowers for sale and part of our proceeds from them will be donated to the Susan G Komen Foundation. 

This of course applies to any custom order breast cancer bow or flower.  And remember we can back almost any bow on your choice of a alligator clip, french clip, headband, pony O, bobby pin, or a pin back.  So you can use them in your hair or attach them to your favorite purse, necklace or sweater.

Have you hugged a nerd today?

Yesterday as I logged onto the internet late in the evening my dear friend 'Facebook' informed me of the loss of Steve Jobs.  And, though I'm fairly certain that none of my fb friends knew Mr. Jobs, the number of messages expressing grief over his loss was overwhelming.  Quite simply, this man was great.  He had an amazing impact on this world. 

The cofounder of Apple and inventor of such amazing things as the Apple II, Macintosh, iPod, iPhone and iPad will be greatly missed.   His death followed a long battle with cancer and took him away from the world well before his time.  This is a sad day for so many, so if you're out and about in the world today make sure you hug a nerd.

Costumes Galore

Hey Tweet Cheeks fans.....

It's that bewitching time of year again.  One of my absolute favorite times of year... Halloween!  'Cause, let's face it, who doesn't love dressing up and eating tons of candy.  lol.  And now that I have kids there's a whole new level of fun.  You get to dress your kids up in the cutest little outfits ever imagined!  Then eat lot's of candy with them and watch Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin.  Hooray!!

This year Tweet Cheeks has decided to take it up a notch on our costumes.  We are having a blast creating all kinds of cutie little things for the kiddos.  So far I've only posted a few outfits... but we have so many more in the works.  And of course we are open to doing whatever custom costume your little brain can come up with.  And we can make them in any size.. they can be personalized... so many options!

We are in the process right now of finishing up a devil, a ghost, and a butterfly.. and then we will begin on another little pumpkin costume, a witch, sock monkey, and a hippo... Oh and I can't forget the fairy princess outfit we are making... So Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

So if you are interested in a costume, whether it's one we've posted above or just something you've dreamedup, let us know ASAP!  We need time to make these things so get your order in...

Contest Time!!

We are super excited to announce that Tweet Cheeks Boutique is joining forces with a children's party center that is new to this area.  We will be opening a new boutique and party place in East Alton providing not only the products you know and love from us, but also tons fun themed parties for your little ones!!

We will be carrying all of Tweet Cheeks existing line, plus lots and lots more.

We are planning our grand opening for early fall and are so excited to get our new building up and running!!  However, there is one little snag in our plan......    We don't have a name.  So we are turning to you to help us out.  Suggest a name for our new business.. suggest as many names as you can think of. Go Cards..

Well.. I've been working towards making bottle cap bows for a really long time.  Well over 6 mos now.  But it just kept getting pushed to the back burner.  I'm pretty sure my procrastination was about to drive Sarah to an early grave.  However, finally.. after much anticiapation..  and a lot of trial and error... I have started making bottle caps.  Which means.. that's right folks.. we have bottle cap bows. 

I can put just about any image on a bottle cap bow, as long as it is fairly small that is.  Sports teams, cartoon characters, your little ones initials or monogram.  And once you've chosen your bottle cap subject just pick your bow type. We can put bottle caps on korkers, loopy bows, stacked bows, big bows, small bows, even simple clippies. 

So if you are interested in your very own personalized bottle cap bow please email us and let us know.  They take a while to make so don't wait until the last minute :)

Birthdays!!

Even old people like me (haha) still love the idea of birthdays, though we frown deeply upon the wrinkles and gray hairs that accompany the passing of another year.  But for all those little one's out there birthdays are hugely important.  My niece has been telling me about the "Hello Kitty-Cat" birthday party that she wants for a month now... and her birthday is still a month out.  Other than Christmas birthdays may be the most important day of the year for kids.

Or if you have a birthday shirt already picked out just shoot us a pic of your shirt or bring it to us so we can create the perfect birthday outfit around your little one's top.

Steelers V Packers

The big game is just around the corner.  So, who are you rooting for?  Green and Gold or Gold and Black??

I just whipped-up a couple of cute little golden flowers with green or black centers.  An adorable way for your little girl to show her game day colors!  Hard core fan?  We could definitely kick it up a notch for you and make you a FAN-tastic tutu with matching bows.

Boring Snow day + Internet = Online Shopping Time

Check out Tweet Cheeks facebook page and do some online shopping.  It's a great day to sit back with a cup of hot cocoa and your laptop.  We have lots of new hats in.  Plus I got a shipment of baby leg warmers today... they are so cute!! We've been working hard on new Valentines Day and St Patrick's Day bows too.
