Halloween is afoot...

Birthday Princess!

We just finished up another adorable little birthday girl outfit.  Miss Abbie is turning two this Saturday and she is going to look fabulous in her birthday gear!  The sequenced tiara in the picture is adorned with a tiny pearl at each tip.  The number two features a sparkly purple princess fabric and of course every birthday princess needs a tutu!

Lots of little bows

We are constantly making new bows here at Tweet Cheeks.  We do weekly to bi-weekly Quarter Autions, Craft fairs, have open houses, do custom orders, home shows, blog posts, and sell bows on facebook.  So we keep busy.  Unfortunately, sometimes we get a little too busy and we don't get pics of our new bows posted. 

So I figured I would dedicate a blog post to a few bows we've made fairly recently.... I know there are far less pics here on our blog than there are on facebook, and sometimes I worry that our non-facebook fans may be discouraged by our lack of blog updates.  Not to mention all of the bows that never get posted at all because I forget to take pics (oops!) before they are sold. 

The vast majority of our bows can be replicated so I like to post pics of as many as possible so people can pick their favorite bow and I can remake it.  Of course people can design their own bows too if they have something specific in mind...

Super Max!!

Well, It took us a long time (no, really... a super long time!) but we finally ironed all of the kinks out of the super capes and have our first cape completely finished and ready to ship.  There was one cape fatality and a lot of frustrated grumblings in the process.... but it was well worth it :)  Our first cape was a special order for an amazingly cute little guy named Max... and here it is...

Capes can be done in other color combos and can be personalized with your little one's initial.  This cape is $25 and is super magnificent!  The closure is velcro to ensure safety. They are great for boys and girls... I know Cora and Parker love playing with the cape fatality mentioned above. lol.

Bridal Beauties

These two gorgeous fascinators are headed out the door today, so I figured I'd post a pic of them before they go.  They are going to adorn two adorable little flower girls' ringlets.  I can't wait to see them in the girls' hair!

New flip flops!

We've been working on flip flops over here at Tweet Cheeks this week.  We made up a few new pairs and figured we'd show them off.  They are $15 a pair and oh so very cute!

The bottom two pairs were made up for Lil Miss Parker.  We had her try on the black ones once we'd finished making them and we couldn't get her to take them back off after that!  Parker got a matching bow for each pair of her flip flops too :)

Matching Pacifier Clips

We've been making pacifier clips for awhile at Tweet Cheeks, but we haven't posted many pics in the past.  So I made up a handful of new clips this last week and matched them up with our bows. 

We can make paci clips to match most bows and can embellish them with flowers or bows if you'd like. As I did with this one you all saw last week...

And we can make them for boys too!  I have a monkey one made up that would be great for a boy.  and we just picked up some great airplane ribbon that is very boyish :)  They range from 5 for a plain paci clip to 7 for an embellished clip and we have adapters for the pacifiers with buttons on the back instead of the ring (like MAM brand).

It's a bird, It's a plane, It's a Super Cape,,,,

It's hard not to fall into the pigeon hole of "little girl boutique" when you make bows and tutus, but we try our best to stay diverse and to offer things for women, teens, and even little boys.  We're constantly trying to come up with ideas for little boys.  We carry ties, and boy bibs, ribbon loopie toys, shirts and paci clips... but when a friend asked if I could make a cape for her super toddler a light bulb went on above my head.  What a great idea!  Well it took a while to get the semantics figured out, as it often does when we decide to make or carry something completely new, but we finally have our prototype made up.
I snapped a few picuteres of it...  What do you guys think?

To the rescue!

Cora LOVED! it.  As soon as I put it on her she raised her arm in the air and shouted; "To the rescue!"  I have no idea where she learned that, but I loved it :) 

The cape is double sided and can be personalized with a symbol on the back such as a giant M on the back (which is what my friend has planned for her little Super Max's cape).  The closure at the throat is velcro.  No more scary strings tied around your baby's neck.  Velcro is a much saver option! 

Basic capes with a simple applique on the back (Such as a giant M) will be $25.  Price may go up for more elaborate pieces or for large capes.  Capes will take approximately 3 weeks to finish and color options other than red and blue are available.

Easter is hopping up on us....

Easter is just around the corner.  It's less than two weeks away and we have several Easter bows left in stock if you haven't picked one out for your little girl.  This year we tried something new (as was suggested by one of our favorite customers Keri) and made some little chick bows.

And from there I decided that we definitely needed some little bunny bows...

So cute... I have great plans for non Easter versions of these bows... can't wait :)  But in the meantime I have made up tons of other Easter bows in various styles and colors.  And if you need a last minute custom to match your little darlings dress we still have enough time.  Just get those orders in fast... or buy off of the rack (so to speak, lol).

Baby sets

I have to admit that I'm a sucker for anything matchy matchy.  In light of that fact, I'm sure you all wont be surprised to hear that I have had visions of baby sets dancing in my head for sometime.  I have mentioned them here or there on our facebook page but hadn't really put a lot together to show you yet. Well, I'm going to try to start putting some things together now so you guys can see what I mean....

Here's a little zebra and hot pink set (Retails for $40).  I had plans to throw a pair of legwarmers in there, but upon further inspection found that my zebra legwarmers had been sold.  However, I can get more if you would like a pair :)  This set was partially made up for a client that is in love with zebra and hot pink for her little doll baby (and oh my gosh I agree with her... it's such a cute combo!!).  I could easily remake the set again if interested... and of course we could include a personalized shirt, tutu, petiskirt, or pillow case dress in hot pink and zebra. 

The bloomers are a new product for tweet cheeks and cost $15.  They are one size and according to the manufacturer they fit size 3mos-12 mos and up to a 4T without a diaper.  I haven't tried them out yet though I can say that they have a lot of stretch to them and definitely think they could fit Cora (who is diaper free and wears a size 3T). They also come in cheetah with pink edging, black with pink hearts and pink edging, and white with a light pink bow (though I could change the bow out for a different color if you prefer).  I plan on ordering more of these soon so if you're interested let me know and I'll make sure to get the pair you want.

And here's another little set that I posted on our facebook last week for the sport lover.  I plan on doing one of these in a STL Cardinals baseball motif soon too....

Opening day is upon us

I am not a humongous sports fan so I don't normally keep up with things like when opening day is.  However, since we started Tweet Cheeks, details such as this have become very important to me.  Quite simply put; if it's important to my fans, then it's important to me.  Soooo.... I have been busy at work making lots and lots of cardinals bows.  After all, St. Louis is a huuuuggggeeee baseball town!
I have so many Cardinals bows on my list right now that I can't keep the baseball ribbon in stock.  Seriously, I think I'm going to stock up today on the way to work.  I'm going to clear the shelf.. lol.  Which means I'll be ready to make even more baseball bows... so get your orders in while you can =)

And let's not forget the arch nemesis of all you Cardinals fans..... Da'Cubs!

Adorable Little Shoes

Tweet Cheeks has been adding tons of new products lately and one of them is shoes.  Not only have we decided to start making these adorable little flip flops with bows, but we also have decided to carry crib shoes :)

A multitude of different bow types can be added to the flip flops to create a truly custom look... though we don't suggest super light or white bows as they are likely to become dirty very easily.  We can also make a matching bow for your little one to wear in her hair to complete the set.  We will be charging $15 for custom flip flops and will do our best to find the shoes in the color you want.  If you are particular about your flip flops and only like a certain brand, then you are more than welcome to bring us a pair of flip flops and we will adorn them for you. 

Crib shoes come in several patterns including:
Black and white zebra, hot pink and black zebra, pink cheetah, brown cheetah, black with white polka dots, pink with white polka dots, red with white polka dots, pink, black, giraffe, and cow.
Unfortunately, not all patterns are always in stock with our supplier so we will have to discuss the style you are looking for before ordering to determine what is available in the size you need.  Once your crib shoes are in, we can add adorable little flowers or bows to the toes, and we can create a matching flower or bow for your little darlings hair too :) Crib shoes are $12 and may take a few weeks to get to you due to ordering.
